More than twenty schools from all over Arizona gathered at Bradshaw Mountain High School Saturday for the Bradshaw Mountain Track and Field Invitational, and several local athletes took the opportunity to shine in their own backyard. Prescott had a ton of success with KJ Greenfield winning the boys 100 meter and 200 meter dashes and the long jump. Luke Mason won the javelin and Eli Allen was first in the shot put. Girls, Violet Williams won the 100 meter dash and long jump. The 4-by-100 and 4-by-400 relays both finished first. Aubrey Kitahata won the 400 meter dash and Kenzie Blanchard was first in the 100 meter hurdles.
For Bradshaw Mountain, their boys 4-by-100 and 4-by-400 meter relays both finished first. Kayden Espinoza won the 300 meter hurdles. Iliana Smith turned in the Lady Bears’ best performance, finishing second in the 100 meter hurdles and fifth in the 100 meter dash.
The Chino Valley girls 4-by-800 relay placed first, while Michael Colasuonno and Matt Sibole were second in the boys pole vault and javelin, respectively. Mayer’s Clayton De Leon was eleventh in the boys shot put.
