BMHS T&F Boys & Girls 1st at Yavapai County Championships

It was intra-county rivalry on top of intra-county rivalry on top of intra-county rivalry. Seven schools from across the county gathered at Bradshaw Mountain High School Wednesday for the Yavapai County Track and Field Championships. It was the host school that came out on top on both the boys and girls sides.

Trevor Head was a double-winner in the boys 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs. Iliana Smith won the girls 300 meter hurdles and was third in the 100 meter hurdles.

For Prescott, the girls were second and the boys third. K.J. Greenfield was a triple-winner in the boys 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and long jump. Violet Williams placed first in both the girls 100 meter dash and 800 meter run.

Chino Valley’s girls team placed fourth and the boys were sixth. Carlee Murphy won both the girls 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs. Travis Minkus was second in the boys shot put.

Mayer’s Clayton De Leon placed sixth in the boys shot put.
