PHS Baseball Erases Mingus

The Prescott baseball team Wednesday played its third game in as many days, and for the second time during that stretch took on their intra-county rival Mingus. Fatigue, however, appeared nowhere in sight for the Badgers as they jumped on the Marauders in the first inning to go up 4-0.

Mingus drew to within two in the top of the second, but Prescott’s offense would not be contained. For the third time this week, they put up double-digit runs on the scoreboard to get the 10-3 victory.

Copper Magnett had two RBIs and two runs scored. Lucas Tobin had an RBI and scored twice. Colton Champion, Coley Fundalewicz, and Parker Reed each had one RBI. The Badgers were helped out by six Mingus errors.

Prescott is now 15-5 overall and 10-2 in Grand Canyon Region play. They are on the road Saturday to take on ALA Gilbert North.
