A wildfire broke out near Coyote Springs Elementary School on Sunday. The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority reports fire crews were able to quickly get the fire under control and extinguished. Their quick actions prevented any damage from occurring to the property. They later deployed a drone to ensure no hot spots remained.
Fire officials want to remind everyone to practice fire safety. This includes being cautious with anything that can produce a spark, avoiding burns on hot and windy days, clearing dry brush from homes, educating children, and reporting any unusual smoke.
