Being recognized as a “Bicycle Friendly Community” for over 20 years, Prescott will celebrate safe bicycling this Friday on National Bike to Work Day with a ride to City Hall.
A short 2-mile, family-friendly bike ride will begin at 1500 W. Gurley Street (behind Casa Sanchez) and end at Prescott City Hall at 201 N. Montezuma Street. Once at City Hall, riders can enjoy juice, coffee, and donuts, and meet members of the City Council; Pedestrian, Bicycle and Traffic Advisory Committee; and Prescott Alternative Transportation members.
The ride will begin promptly at 7:15 a.m. to minimize any traffic conflicts. All bikes and riders are welcome. To ensure safety, all riders are asked to obey traffic laws and wear a helmet.
