The Prescott Valley Police Department is offering complimentary home security assessments through its Police Community Services Unit. The program uses principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design to help residents reduce their risk of being targeted by criminals.
A trained member of the PVPD team will visit homes to evaluate security features, at no cost to homeowners. After the visit, homeowners receive custom recommendations, including changes to lighting, landscaping, and other simple improvements to make their home safer.
The department says it’s part of a broader effort to educate the community and promote safer neighborhoods.
