More Chino Valley athletes will be playing at college, and some of them will stay local to do it. Mari Holladay will join the Yavapai College women’s soccer team. Aden Hubble is also going to Yavapai to be part of the softball team. This season she hit .456 with seven RBIs, 28 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases. She was also named to the All 3A West Region second team.
Jackson Hawks will also remain in Arizona, heading south to play for the Ottawa University men’s soccer team. He was an all-conference honorable mention and an all-region first team selection in 2024.
Maddie Metz will leave Arizona to do cross country and track at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. She finished 38th at the state cross country meet and fifth in the 3,200-meter run at the state track and field meet this season.
