Her high school career includes state championships and numerous school records. Now Violet Williams hopes to be just as successful in college. The Prescott track and field athlete signed with the Colorado School of Mines.
She tells The News:
Williams was state champ in the 100-meter dash in her freshman season. This season she won state championships in the 200-meter dash and 800-meter run, and was also part of Prescott’s state champion 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.
Williams was also part of the girls soccer team and was named the Grand Canyon Region Player of the Year this past season.
She will major in environmental engineering.
