The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority has announced the successful graduation of its 2025 Engineer Academy. The program, which drew 33 students from 14 agencies across the state, was led by a team of 13 veteran instructors.
CAFMA Spokeswoman Kathy Goodman, tells The News about the program:
Graduates earn several certifications, with an option for college credit through Yavapai College.
CAFMA Captain Adam Wagner calls the academy “unlike anything else in the state,” praising its impact on student confidence and agency collaboration.
Students leave with stronger technical skills, leadership, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
