A major roadway improvement project is in the works for Whetstine Avenue in Prescott.
The project includes removing and replacing the existing asphalt and roadbed, with a plan to narrow the street to make room for new curbs, gutters, and a sidewalk on one side. Crews will also replace the aging waterline with a new, more durable iron pipeline.
New sidewalk ramps will also be constructed for the intersection of Gail Gardner Way and Whetstine Avenue.
No timeline has been announced for the start of construction.
