The Prescott boys volleyball team swept the major awards for the Black Canyon Region. Zane Gaul was named the region overall player of the year. It’s the third time in his career Gaul has been named region player of the year, winning it twice before when the Badgers were in the Skyline Region. The Black Canyon Region offensive player of the year award went to Maxwell McVickers, while Noah Hernandez was voted the region defensive player of the year. Ephraim Bernard was named the region coach of the year.
Gaul, McVickers, and Hernandez were all selected to the All-Black Canyon Region First Team, along with Bradshaw Mountain’s Isaiah Tapoof and Antonio Beltran.
Earning All-Region Second Team honors were Prescott’s Seth Peterson and George Cambra, and Bradshaw Mountain’s Ryan Droke. Receiving
All-Region Honorable Mentions were Prescott’s Evan Haberen and Bradshaw’s Colin Bowser and Noah Glodo.
