The City of Prescott has begun a water quality treatment program at Goldwater Lake, aimed at restoring the lake’s health throughout the summer.
Starting this month, city crews will deploy treatment pellets, called “MuckAway,” manufactured by Air Max, once a month.
These pellets are designed to break down organic accumulation at the bottom of the lake, improving overall water quality without the use of harsh chemicals.
City officials emphasize the treatment is completely safe for aquatic life, pets, and people.
It also won’t interfere with any recreational activities, and Goldwater Lake will remain open to the public as normal during the treatment period.
