Locals Land on All-Region Baseball Team, Prescott’s Tobin Region Player of the Year

The Prescott baseball team took home some major awards from the Grand Canyon Region. Lucas Tobin was named the overall Region Player of the Year. He led the region with a .529 average while driving in 30 runs. Cooper Magnett was the region’s Offensive Player of the Year. He hit .508 with 25 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Hutch Hutchens was named Region Coach of the Year in his first season with the Badgers.

All-Region First Team selections were Prescott’s Adrian Sanderford, Tobin, and Magnett, and Bradshaw Mountain’s Jeremy Reynolds, Garison Jones, and Caden Randall. Second Team selections were Prescott’s Jacob Patterson and Ivan Schuster, and Bradshaw’s Isaiah Avila and Dylan Lockwood. Honorable mentions went to Prescott’s Travis Gates and Nick Martin, and Bradshaw’s Donovan Bayard and Josh Lomas.

In the 3A West Region, Chino Valley’s Freddie Garcia made the First Team. Caden Todd was a Second Team selection, and Jacob Boivin, Ryan LaMotte, and Luke Olson got honorable mentions.
