Local Police Pull Over 90 Vehicles During DUI Patrol

The Prescott Valley Police Department led a multi-agency DUI task force on Friday, May 23rd, focusing on impaired driving, speeding, and traffic safety throughout the area.

Partner agencies included the Chino Valley and Prescott Police Departments, as well as the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Together, they conducted 90 traffic stops—resulting in two arrests for driving under the influence.

Officers also issued 34 speeding tickets and 44 other traffic citations for a range of violations. Nine drivers were also ticketed for not wearing seatbelts.

The task force serves as a reminder that law enforcement is actively monitoring area roads to keep drivers safe. Police urge everyone to plan ahead, slow down, and never drive impaired.
