Yavapai County Board of Supervisors to Make Western Heritage Proclamation

Yavapai County is gearing up to celebrate its deep-rooted western heritage with a formal proclamation set to be presented at the next Board of Supervisors meeting on Wednesday, June 4th at 9 a.m. The meeting takes place at the Yavapai County Administrative Building, located at 1015 Fair Street in Prescott.

The proclamation aims to recognize the county’s pioneering spirit, resilience, and cultural legacy – qualities that continue to define life in the region today. Residents are encouraged to show their western pride in the days surrounding the event by wearing traditional western attire, such as cowboy hats, boots, and denim.

Supervisor Chris Kuknyo says, “Western heritage is more than history – it’s a living legacy that continues to inspire and unite communities.”
