The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place in Cottonwood around 4 p.m. Wednesday. YCSO officials say a vehicle was shot at by the driver of another car turning from Western Drive onto Pleasant Valley. Witnesses identified the suspect as 19-year-old Alejandro Pereza-Pasos, who allegedly knew the victim.
His vehicle was found near Messai Circle, but a search by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team did not locate him.
Pereza-Pasos is known to frequent Cottonwood, Clarkdale, and Sedona.
