Beef Jerky Recall

Officials with Yavapai County Community Health Services want everyone to be aware of a recall of certain types of beef jerky. Springville Meat & Cold Storage Company is recalling more than 15-thousand pounds of heat-treated, shelf-stable, ready-to-eat beef jerky and beef snack stick products, and elk, venison and buffalo jerky products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product contains anchovies, which is not declared on the product label.

The recalled jerky bears establishment number “EST. 20528” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, but if you have these jerky products, either throw them out or return them to the store you bought them from for a refund.
