Prescott National Forest officials have downgraded the fire danger. It is now moderate. Last week, the fire danger was very high.
Even with the lower fire danger, Stage One fire restrictions are still in effect throughout Yavapai County. That means no smoking outside your car or home. Outdoor firearm use and the use of model rockets are prohibited, and campfires are not allowed except within designated and developed recreation sites.
