Man Arrested for Prescott to Ash Fork Crime Spree

He was arrested, escaped, tried to steal a helicopter, then stole a car… and was apprehended again. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, this past Sunday Prescott police arrested a 21-year-old man and took him to Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He escaped from the hospital, allegedly assaulting a nurse in the process, then attempted to steal a Native Air helicopter. Failing that, he ran up the road and stole a car from a nearby dealership. The suspect made it to Paulden before crashing his car into a ditch. Authorities were unable to locate him after that.

Then on Monday, sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a man who was apparently disoriented driving through Ash Fork. When he was pulled over, it was learned the suspect stole the car from a nearby fire station. He was arrested and booked on theft-related charges.
