Firefighters and paramedics were busy in Sedona Saturday as they came to the aid of seven people suffering from heat-related ailments. The victims were spread out among three different trails. This required the Verde Valley Fire District, Verde Valley Ambulance Service, and a DPS Ranger helicopter to assist the Sedona Fire Department in these rescues.
Sedona fire officials urge everyone to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, know your limits, and avoid hiking during the hottest times of the day.
