Don’t be surprised if you see a gator in one of Prescott’s lakes. Not an actual gator, but a piece of equipment called a weed gator. This electric remote-controlled boat can cut and remove 1,000 pounds of aquatic weeds.
This improves water quality and boater safety. When weeds die and gather at the bottom of a lake, there is not sufficient oxygen to break them down.
