Grants and New Committee Highlight Yavapai County BOS Meeting

Two meetings for the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Wednesday. At the 9 a.m. regular meeting, the board votes on a $640,000 contract with Low Mountain Construction for the Camp Verde Connection Center project. Another agenda item concerns a $362,000 Drug, Gang, and Violent Crime Control Grant for Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking. The board also considers a preliminary plat for the Western Land Ranches, which would consist of 194 lots on 764 acres in District One of the county.

Then at 11 a.m., the county holds a special meeting. Discussions will take place on the establishment of a Water Resources and Open Space Committee, and conservation easements for the county.

Both meetings take place at the County Administration Building at 1015 Fair Street in Prescott.
