Firefighters and paramedics in Phoenix and Sedona have been busy this summer rescuing people who fell ill to the excessive heat while out hiking. Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority officials want to make sure the same doesn’t happen to folks in the Tri-City area who want to spend time outdoors.
CAFMA spokeswoman Kathy Goodman tells The News:
On Tuesday, a 67-year-old Texas man died while hiking at the Grand Canyon. The high temperature that day was 90 degrees.
