The Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization has its funding wish list for 2026, with nearly 48 million dollars in requests to the state and federal governments for improvements along Highway 89.
At Tuesday’s Chino Valley Town Council meeting, CYMPO Executive Director Vinny Gallegos said more than 37 million will go toward widening the highway:
The City of Prescott is also making plans for a drainage improvement project along its stretch of Highway 89.
