New Horse Sculptures at Chino Valley Town Hall

There are some new decorations at Chino Valley Town Hall.

Three horse sculptures have been installed on the grounds of Town Hall, thanks to a donation from local artist Gene Galazan. He is known for his welded steel sculptures and has his works displayed across Arizona, including at Prescott’s Phippen Museum and on Glassford Hill.

Mayor Tom Armstrong and Trail Art Project founder Barbara Nelson call the gift a celebration of the town’s ranching heritage. Armstrong added these may be Galazan’s final horse sculptures, making the gift especially meaningful.

The pieces stand near the military flag installation at Town Hall. Plans for a walking sculpture garden are also underway.
