Broadband Ceremony Planned for Prescott Valley Next Week

A ceremony next Thursday will mark the start of a major broadband expansion in Prescott Valley.

Mayor Kell Palguta and other leaders will gather to break ground on WeCom Fiber’s high-speed internet network. The 35 million dollar, privately-funded project aims to connect about 25,000 homes and businesses—including in Coyote Springs and Yavapai Hills—by early 2027.

The event takes place at 9 a.m. next Thursday on the outdoor patio of the Prescott Valley Civic Center. Speakers include WeCom CEO Paul Fleming, Chamber of Commerce President Steve Bracety, and Prescott-area State Representative Quang Nguyen.

This project is part of a broader push to bridge Arizona’s digital divide, with WeCom also expanding service to rural areas throughout Yavapai County and beyond.
