Starting next week, school buses will once again be on our roadways, and that also means kids will be out on the roads as well—at crosswalks and waiting to be picked up to get to school. Police Community Services Supervisor Jodi Mullins tells The News:
If you find yourself approaching a bus stop or a school zone, keep these tips in mind:
- Slow down, stay alert, and always obey school bus laws.
- Kids can appear unexpectedly, especially in school zones and neighborhoods.
- Never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights. It’s not just illegal—it’s dangerous and could cost a life.
