A plethora of Yavapai College athletes earned major recognition for their academic achievements during the 2024-2025 school year. Eleven players from the women’s soccer team were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Team. They are Allison Eske, Sophia Fottrell, Gracey Fowlkes, Morgan McLane, Prescott alum Megan Townsend, and Jill Young on the first team; Rylee Kunker and Victoria Taylor on the second team; and Poppy Anderson, Eva Diaz, and Mia Howser on the third team.
Eight volleyball players were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Team. They are Teodora Popovic on the first team; Teodora Bulatovic, Micah Gardner, Sara Harrell, and Michalina Oles on the second team; and Lindsey Geisel, Emily Hogg, and Chino Valley grad Makaya Moody on the third team.
The YC volleyball team also received a team academic award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Finally, Raphael Dupouy of the men’s basketball team was named to the NJCAA All-Academic second team.
