Road work is set to begin next week in Cornville and Cottonwood as part of a surface treatment project.
Cactus Asphalt, in partnership with Yavapai County, will start chip seal and fog seal operations next Monday. The work is expected to continue through September 18th.
Crews will work Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. applying a chip seal, followed by fog seal and striping. One lane will stay open at all times, but drivers can expect lane restrictions, traffic shifts, lower speed limits, and flagging operations throughout the area.
Officials advise motorists to anticipate minor delays and allow for extra time to reach their destination. Drivers should also follow all traffic control signs and use caution when traveling through the work zones.
