The City of Prescott Transfer Station is offering free woodchips to residents. City officials say woodchips act as a ground cover for both natural weed and erosion control. Woodchips can be picked up from the Transfer Station at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
City officials say to stop at the scale and inform the attendant you would like woodchips, and to allow a time window of around 30 minutes.
