What kind of competition could the Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain football teams face from their Grand Canyon Region rivals this season? Mingus is coming off a 1-9 record, but they do have a few capable returners. These include Remington Stokes, who had 54 tackles and four interceptions, and Shane Chupp, who recorded 235 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Coconino, which went 6-5 in 2024, lost many of its starters. But they do have one of the region’s top receivers back in Ethan Jeffs, who registered 407 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Flagstaff is coming off a 6-4 season, and is in good shape with quarterback Chase Brown returning. He threw for 1,772 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. He still has A-J Valdez to throw to. He recorded 353 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Lee Williams went 2-8, but also have their QB returning. Morgan Quinn threw for 2,260 yards and 19 touchdowns. Mohave went 8-3 in the 3A conference last year, and has Joe Yoney, junior, back. He rushed for 698 yards and ten touchdowns in 2024.
