We are more than two weeks away from the Mayer football team hitting the field for the first time in 2025. They kick off the season August 22nd on the road at Williams.
The Wildcats then have a three-game homestand — August 29th versus Superior; September 5th versus Sedona Red Rock; and September 19th versus Mogollon. Then it’s three straight games on the road for Mayer: September 26th at Joseph City, October 3rd at El Capitan, and October 10th at Valley Union. The regular season ends for the Wildcats October 17th when they host Duncan.
Mayer looks to rebound from a 1-7 record in 2024. Key returners for the Wildcats this season include All 1A North Region second team selections Uriah Romero and Sean Valenzuela, and region honorable mentions Gregorio Haro and Emanuel Zavala.
