The Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center will host a free Fireside Chat later this month. The featured speaker is Conrad Jackson, Wildfire Risk Manager for the Prescott Fire Department. He will share insights on fire prevention strategies, future fuels treatments, and land stewardship.
The event takes place August 19th at 3:30 p.m. and aims to help residents better understand the growing threat of wildfires.
John Marsh, the chairman of the center’s board, says preparing homes and properties can help protect neighborhoods and reduce fire insurance costs.
