A motorcycle accident in Williamson Valley claimed the life of a teenager. Just after 7:30 Wednesday morning, Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash on Williamson Valley Road between Burnt Ranch and Sylvan Road in Prescott.
First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the rider — a 16-year-old Prescott High School student — was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation indicates speed may have been a factor in the accident. However, the case remains under investigation.
Authorities are asking drivers to use extra caution on the roads — especially in high-traffic areas — as the new school year is underway.
