There’s a new baseball coach at Yavapai College. Marc MacMillan has been hired for the position. He previously served as the head coach for Charleston Southern University from 2020 to 2024, and led the team to a Big South Conference runner-up finish in 2022.
MacMillan also spent time at Ole Miss, where he was an assistant coach and director of baseball operations. During his time with the Rebels, they made it to the NCAA regionals five times and won the SEC championship in 2018. Ole Miss is also where MacMillon played for four years. He also spent time as a scout for the Seattle Mariners.
MacMillan takes over for Pat Woods, who went 79-79 in three seasons as the Roughriders bench boss, and sent the vast majority of his players on to four-year schools.
