The monsoon is expected to be very active over the next few days. This means there is an increased risk of flooding in the Tri-City area. To protect your property from flood waters, you can pick up free sandbags from various locations around Yavapai County. They are available at all Prescott and Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority fire stations.
You can also get sandbags from the Mayer Fire Station at 10001 South Miami Street and at the Cordes Lakes Fire Station at 16262 South Black Mountain Road. Sandbags are also available for pick up at the Yavapai County Public Works Yard at 1100 Commerce Drive in Prescott.
While the sandbags are free, you must fill them yourself.
