Two juveniles turned themselves in for damaging a church in Prescott Valley.
According to police, two vehicles were spotted last Tuesday around 9 p.m. driving recklessly through the parking lot of St. Germaine’s Church. Authorities say one of the vehicles reversed into a storage building on the south side of the lot, causing damage. Both drivers fled the scene without reporting the incident.
Later, the juvenile drivers came forward and admitted to their involvement. They were subsequently referred to the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Prescott Valley Police Department is using this incident as a reminder for all drivers to obey traffic laws and to make safety a priority on local roads. Police say promoting responsible driving habits is essential to keeping the community safe.
