ADOT Seeks Input on EV Charging Stations

ADOT officials are asking for public feedback on their plan to expand the state’s electric vehicle charging network.

The 2025 plan would install charging stations at 21 locations across the state, including along Highways 69, 89, and 89A in the Tri-City area, Highway 260 in Cottonwood, and Highway 179 near Sedona.

ADOT is using federal funds from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program to support the project—part of a nationwide push to make EV travel more accessible. Each station will include fast chargers that can power most vehicles in 30 minutes or less. The first charging stations should be ready for use next year.
