Cottonwood Drug Dealer Gets 7 Years in Prison

An armed drug dealer who was found living 300 feet from a daycare was sentenced to prison. On May 17 of this year, 31-year-old Tylor Hanes was stopped in Cottonwood by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Unit. After Hanes was taken into custody, detectives found guns, 319 grams of methamphetamine, and almost 52 grams of cocaine at his residence, which was located close to a daycare and elementary school.

Hanes was arrested for drug possession, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, misconduct involving weapons, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, and prohibited possession of weapons.

Hanes was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison.
