The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspected arsonist in Seligman. YCSO officials state on August 27th, around 3 p.m., deputies and Seligman firefighters responded to a report of fires in the Bridge Canyon area of Seligman. These fires were near the area where several trailers were set ablaze by a suspected arsonist last month.
Deputies discovered two campers were on fire in two different locations, and in another location, a third camper had been targeted but did not ignite. An investigation later identified a possible suspect, 51-year-old Adam Merrell of Yuma. He was arrested in connection with the camper fires.
