Their last two matches ended with them getting swept. So the Chino Valley volleyball team was in great need of a pick me up. They got it Tuesday night when they hit the road yet again to take on Sedona Red Rock. The Lady Cougars started off with a 25-15 victory in set one. The second set turned into a hard-fought battle, with Chino getting by the Lady Scorpions 26-24. The Lady Cougars didn’t mess around in the third set as they took down Sedona Red Rock 25-14 to complete the 3-0 sweep.
Jayden Vander Molen and Peytan Granillo both notched six kills. Avery Bradshaw recorded 13 assists. Kinsey Murphy tallied four kills. Chino Valley is now 2-3 on the season.
Next up for the Lady Cougars, they are in Ash Fork Friday and Saturday for the Spartan Classic. Chino finally returns home to face Coolidge September 17th.
