PVPD, Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police Stop Reckless, Wrong Way Driver

Prescott Valley Police assisted Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police in the arrest of a driver who fled a traffic stop and drove the wrong way driving on State Routes 89 and 69 Wednesday.

Officers attempted to block the suspect at Glassford Hill Road, but the driver struck a police vehicle and continued eastbound, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour.

The pursuit ended safely after coordinated efforts led to the suspect’s arrest. The driver was booked into Yavapai County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated DUI and unlawful flight from law enforcement.

No serious injuries were reported. Police credit interagency teamwork for the safe outcome and urge the public to report dangerous driving.
