Yavapai County Community Health Services is alerting the public to a recall of frozen vegetables. Chetak Foods is expanding its voluntary recall to include several lots of Deep-branded frozen vegetables and fruit products due to possible salmonella contamination.
The impacted products include frozen sprouted moth, moong, surti undhiyu mix, and singoda—all distributed nationwide in flexible plastic bags.
Salmonella can cause serious illness, particularly in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain.
No illnesses have been reported so far. Customers are urged to discard or return affected items to the store where they were purchased. Chetak has halted production of the products while it investigates the source of contamination.
