Local scoreboard from the weekend, in soccer, for the guys, Yavapai College blanked Southern Nevada 2-0. Andres Pulido notched both Roughrider goals. Chino Valley went 3-1 at the Chino Cup. Giovanni Millan scored five goals in the tournament. Ladies, Yavapai College lost to Southern Nevada 3-0.
Volleyball, Yavapai College fell to Eastern Arizona 3-1. Micah Gardner posted eleven kills. Embry-Riddle knocked off Life Pacific 3-1, but lost to Hope International 3-2. Emma Barber racked up 31 kills in the two matches. Bradshaw Mountain went 4-1 at the Ceil Billings Tournament. Chino Valley went 4-4 at the Spartan Classic.
Swimming, at the Crosswhite Invitational, several swimmers from Prescott achieved state qualifying times.
Cross country, at the Ojo Rojo Invitational, Prescott’s Millie Nyman finished 76th for the girls and Will Townsend came in 98th for the boys. At the Boulder Creek Invitational, the Chino Valley girls finished fourth and the boys were eighth. Eliana Metz placed third for the girls and Enzo Wiley was 25th for the boys.
