Points were few and far between for the Bradshaw Mountain and Monument Valley flag football teams in their season opener last night. Each team had just one touchdown, but the extra point by Trista Polley proved the difference as the Lady Bears got the 7-6 deke.
Morgan Gosik had the lone Bradshaw touchdown. The Lady Bear secondary also shined in their first game of 2025 as they made multiple interceptions, with Victoria Holliday snagging three of them.
Mayer also opened the season last night, but they fell to Arete Prep 28-6. Jamie Burlington had a touchdown for the Lady Cats. Aspyn Colquitt had an interception.
Up next, Bradshaw Mountain has two straight road games, tomorrow at Scottsdale Saguaro and September 23rd at Deer Valley. They return home September 25th versus ALA Queen Creek.
Mayer is at Benjamin Franklin September 22nd and hosts River Valley September 25th.
