They hit the floor in a whirlwind, overpowering Highland Prep in the first set 25-14. But in the second set, the Chino Valley volleyball team slumped and lost to the Lady Honey Badgers 25-10. The Lady Cougars righted the ship in set number three and engaged in a dogfight with Highland Prep, coming out on top 25-21. Chino maintained its momentum for set number four and got the deke 25-17 to take the match 3-1.
Avery Bradshaw recorded 26 assists, nine digs, five kills, and three ace serves. Peytan Granillo had 20 digs, four kills, and three aces. Lilliana Rodriguez had two ace serves.
Chino Valley is now 3-4 in its power point matches. They are off until next Monday when they host River Valley. Next Wednesday, the Lady Cougars are home again to take on Kingman.
