Two Drug Busts in Cordes Junction

Cordes Junction was the location for a couple of traffic stops that turned into big drug busts. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office sent out a release Tuesday about the busts that occurred earlier this month.

On September 10th, deputies found 50 grams of meth and 20 grams of fentanyl during a traffic stop. Mayer residents Nathan Hayden and Lacy Hesser were both arrested. A search of Hayden’s property uncovered more drugs, several weapons, and hundreds of paraphernalia items. Both face numerous charges, including drug sales and weapons misconduct.

Five days earlier, on September 5th, deputies stopped a vehicle with a suspended registration. The driver was underage, unlicensed, and accompanied by a parent. Officers discovered meth, paraphernalia, and open containers in the vehicle. The minor was released to family. The adult was arrested on multiple charges.
