Right from the start, the Bradshaw Mountain football team was in control of the game. They went up 14-0 over Flagstaff in the first quarter, and their offense never let up. They walked off Bob Pavlich Field 49-6 winners Friday. Kylin Jackson rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and in the process broke the school record for most career rushing touchdowns. He also returned an interception 85 yards. Michael Sanford threw two touchdown passes to Jon’te Jones and Caden Dabney, and ran in two touchdowns himself. Diego Galaz recorded 15 tackles, and Antonio Valenzuela had two interceptions. The Bears are now 4-2 on the season.
Also on Friday, Chino Valley took an 8-7 lead over Bourgade Catholic in the first quarter. The Golden Eagles then jumped out in front, and the Cougars comeback fell short as they lost 21-14. No stats for Chino were available prior to air time. The Cougars are 4-3 on the season.
