It was nailbiter after nailbiter between the Yavapai College and Southern Nevada volleyball teams Friday. The Lady Riders took the first set 25-21. The next two sets ended in 25-23 decisions split between the two sides. In the fourth set, YC put a little more distance between them and Southern Nevada for the 25-18 win and the 3-1 match victory. McKenzie Wright recorded 20 assists. Morgane Breault notched 12 kills. Jezebel Rivas made 16 digs.
The two clubs also met Saturday, with Yavapai getting another win, final score 3-0. Skylar Schwartz garnered nine kills. Wright registered 16 assists. Breault posted six kills and ten digs.
The Lady Riders are now 9-10 on the season and 3-6 in conference play. Yavapai is back in action today at Justice College. Their next home match is Friday versus Community Christian.
