Local scoreboard from yesterday, in soccer, the Yavapai College men got shut out by Southern Nevada 2-0. Ladies, Yavapai College overpowered Southern Nevada 4-1. Sophia Fottrell and Nataly Arangure both had two goals and an assist. Chino Valley doubled up Camp Verde 4-2. Four different players scored for the Lady Cougars.
In volleyball, Mayer knocked off Basis Flagstaff 3-2.
Golf, at the Ottawa Invitational, the Embry-Riddle women finished second and the men were eighth. Emma Marshall was runner-up on the women’s side, and Prescott alum Jonathan Tso came in 19th place for the men.
